We actually want to state that the minimum wage for California is changing. Governor Brown passed a bill that minimum wage is now $10.00 hourly. We think that this possibility is happening but at a slow pace. If there were no more early childhood educators or quality educators that we could find to teach our children we would stay home and educate them ourselves. We would network with other parents who are having the same issues and with our credentials open a home-school program out of a home or another center that provides sufficient space. Students spend up to seven hours, five days a week with their teachers. That sums up to a minimum of 35 hours a week which is almost a full-time job. To the young population we think that is a very important matter to consider. Is the teacher high quality and providing high quality education? Is her and or his personal life, financial or emotional, affecting their ability to teach? Those are the things we would consider. We believe that we rely on schools to educate our children but if we do enough research and are forced in a position to teach them ourselves we can provide. Finances are always available but quality education will always be hard to find in a nation that does not value education for the masses.
